From 14-18 June 2021 the online course “Interdisciplinary Radiation Research on Radon -InterRad” funded by RadoNorm takes place. The course introduces various disciplines contributing to radiation research on radon. Insights to physical, biological and epidemiological fundamentals in radiation research with focus on radon are be provided.

These basic principles are completed by presenting interdisciplinary approaches like

  • molecular epidemiology,
  • biobanking,
  • micro-/ nanodosimetry and
  • radon risk assessment.

The course will help to sensitise to the feasibility, potential and limitations of experimental assays and the need for implementation of multidisciplinary research approaches.
