RadoNorm Course “From Radon Measurement to Optimized Mitigation” concludes first week

The first of two weeks of the RadoNorm training course titled „From Radon Measurement to Optimized Mitigation”, jointly organized by the National Radiation Protection Institute (SURO) and the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, is over. Participants attended several lectures on various aspects of radon measurement delivered by lecturers at SURO. They also started a real radon diagnostic of a building. Martin Jiranek gave lectures on preventive measures and mitigation strategies. On the last day of the first week, participants visited two houses that had undergone mitigation. This visit included a detailed description of the results of radon diagnostic and the design of the mitigation measures.
