About the meeting

RadoNorm’s Final Meeting (FM) will take place from 3rd to 5th June 2025 at Hotel Novotel Budapest Danube in Budapest, Hungary, with the help of our local organiser HUN-REN Center for Energy Research (HUN-REN CER) together with the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS, Germany).

This year too, the meeting will be held in hybrid format allowing participation both online and in-person and thereby reaching as many as possible in the radiation protection community.

On the 3rd June, there will be internal meetings within RadoNorm work packages (WPs) and attendance will be limited to consortium members only.

The 4th and 5th June will feature plenary sessions with the consortium, stakeholders and any interested parties. RadoNorm will be revealing its newest results in the light of sustainable radiation protection for radon and NORM. The 3 themes of the meeting will be environmental risks, health and beating cancer, and measures to protect people.

Special rates for room reservations at Novotel Budapest Danube are available using the link here.

BY PLANE AND AIRPORT TRANSFER:

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) is located ca. 24 km from Novotel Budapest Danube. The available means of transport to and from the airport are taxis, airport shuttle buses, and public transport.

Taxi (Főtaxi).

Taxis can be found easily at the airport directly at the arrival hall exit. A ride to the city centre should typically cost around 13000-15000 HUF (33-37 EUR), depending on traffic conditions.

Airport shuttle service (MiniBUD).

This shuttle service is not a private one and the buses may stop at various places on the way if the ride is shared with other passengers. It can be slightly cheaper than taxis, but the price difference is not significant, and taxis are more comfortable.
