RadoNorm funded citizen science project RadAR in Portugal presented at the IAEA Regional Training Course on Prevention and Mitigation Methods for Protection against Radon Exposure in Buildings

The RadAR citizen science project, funded by RadoNorm, was presented at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Regional Training Course on Prevention and Mitigation Methods for Protection against Radon Exposure in Buildings on Friday, January 26, 2024. During her oral presentation, C. Antunes, a team member of RadAR from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) emphasised the significance of citizen science in the field of radon and outlined RadAR’s engagement strategy among others. The RadAR citizen science project engages high school students from three high schools in Portugal: Secondary School Ponte de Sor, Secondary School São Lourenço, and Secondary School Mouzinho da Silveira as key players in radon management.
