IAEA with RadoNORM and NORM X is organising ORPNET webinar “In the Spotlight: NORM” on January 26th 2022 starting at 14:00 CET. You can register for free for the webinar at the IAEA website.

The webinar will cover an example on how a graded approach is implemented in a national regulatory system and how it may be implemented in an industrial HSE/NORM Management System.
During the webinar the status quo of the RadoNorm project under EURATOM Horizon 2020 will also be presented. This project aims at managing risk from radon and NORM exposure situations to assure effective radiation protection based on improved scientific evidence and social considerations.
On top of this the most recent information on invited speakers and refresher courses of the 10th International Symposium on NORM (NORM X) to be held from 9-13 May in Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, the Netherlands, will be provided. This Symposium will focus on circular economy of industrial NORM residues developments vs. traditional ‘cradle to grave’ approaches. For the first time ever social sciences are explicitly participating in this series of international NORM symposia.
