On Tuesday January 24th, the Center for Environmental Sciences CMK of the University Hasselt celebrated its 25th anniversary. Among the attendees were many prominent guests, such as Belgian federal minister Zakia Khattabi and IPBES General Secretary Anne Larigauderie, who received an honorary doctorate during this celebratory event. During the festivities, a panel conversation on multidisciplinary science also took place. Nazanin Love, PhD student of UHasselt and SCK CEN working in the RadoNorm project, was one of the panellists. She talked about her experiences in working with various disciplines in an international context, and about her innovative research on societal aspects related to the use of NORM-containing by-products in construction materials.
