Tomkiv and R. L. Anjum from Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) were invited to give a talk about the results of the Norwegian citizen science pilot at the Norwegian Radon Conference on 7th November 2023. Norwegian Radon Conference is organised annually by the Norwegian Radon Association and brings together representatives of municipalities, companies, organisations and private individuals who are working with radon.

The Norwegian citizen science pilot project took place in Gjøvik from August 2022 – January 2023 and involved over 100 citizen scientists in various project activities. The pilot project explored barriers to radon remediation, launched a measurement campaign, developed a radon guide and organised a public meeting that brought together citizens and various experts. The presentation received overwhelmingly positive feedback stating that insights gained through the Norwegian citizen science pilot project are unparalleled and provide valuable knowledge to the field.
