WP2 of RadoNorm will be organising a workshop on Friday, 13th October 2023 as part of the European Radiation Protection Week 2023 to compare the performance of 13 low-cost electronic radon measuring instruments. The session will showcase the methodology and results of the performance tests and will frame the findings in the context of a RadoNorm goal – promotion of quality assurance. The detailed results of devices that passed through the test program without given notice to the manufacturers will be presented. The workshop strives for the identification of observed limitations, weaknesses and suggested improvements of e.g. physical-technical characteristics, quality assurance measures and pattern of use (or misuse) of electronic radon monitors. Manufacturers, users, radiation protection experts, accredited measurement institutions, interlaboratory comparisons and proficiency test organisers, calibration services providers and other stakeholders are highly encouraged to attend this workshop. Stay tuned for the agenda and further details regarding registration.
