National Institute for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection

National Institute for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection (SUJCHBO) is an ISO-certified public research institution with more than 60 years of experience in safety and security related issues (mainly radiation protection). The Nuclear Protection Department ensures the technical support for the Czech legal authority – the State Office for Nuclear Safety. Within these activities, it provides expert measurements at NORM workplaces and legacy sites influenced by uranium mining, among others. The Authorized Metrological Centre for instruments measuring the radon activity concentration and equilibrium equivalent radon activity concentration is a part of the SUJCHBO.
