Job position in radon metrology at BfS

The Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) in Germany is looking for a technical assistant in the radon metrology section of the department for environmental radioactivity in Berlin, Germany. Quality assured radon measurements form the basis for the successful mitigation of enhanced radon levels in buildings and thus protecting health. To ensure the quality of radon measurements, the BfS operates a calibration laboratory in the section of “Radon metrology” that is accredited according to the ISO 17025 standard. The laboratory plays a central role in the metrological traceability chain in Germany and offers calibration services for the measurands radon activity concentration and potential alpha energy concentration.
