Le Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives
Home > Participants > CEA
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas: a) defence and security, b) low carbon energies (nuclear and renewable energies), c) technological research for industry and d) fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences.
The objectives of the ‘Plants, Stress & Metals’ team is to decipher the molecular mechanisms allowing plants and microalgae to cope with metals and radionuclides (especially uranium). We are interested in the uptake, translocation and speciation of metals in plants and microalgae, in the molecular mechanisms involved in metal toxicity and detoxification.
