FCRB-IDIBAPS is a public Research Consortium (Hospital Clinic, University of Barcelona, Biomedical Research Institute; Barcelona, Spain), with over 108 internationally renowned research teams with complementary basic and clinical profiles that encourage synergies in translational research in cancer research. Here, we are part of the Translational Genomics Group in Solid Tumors, being in charge of the task 4.5 co-coordination. We will be involved on a) designing a radon-associated molecular signature in lung cancer in rats (4.5.1), b) analyzing the molecular profile of lung cancers in humans exposed to radon (4.5.2 residential; 4.5.3 miners), and c) in the comparison between rats and humans to establish hypothesis on radon carcinogenesis. One PhD student will be place here.
