Centre For Energy Research

The Centre for Energy Research (EK) is part of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network in Hungary. Its activities include basic and applied research and development in accordance with the provisions of the Hungarian Act on Atomic Energy in the field of renewable energy sources, environmental protection systems, and functional materials. The operation of the Budapest Research Reactor is also among its key activities. Researchers of the Environmental Physics Department has decade-long experience in transport and deposition of radioactive aerosol in the lungs, in microdosimetry, and in modelling the biological effects of internal emitters.
