New job offer in WP4

The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) is looking for a new postdoctoral scientist to support the work in WP4 of RadoNorm. Candidates will develop biologically based risk models of radiation-induced lung cancer for animal models and uranium miners, analyse and interpret molecular data sets to devise the conceptual design of mechanistic cancer induction models, and contribute to the establishment of an Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) for lung cancer after radon exposure. Candidates should have a profile which includes: a master’s degree and a PhD in (bio-)mathematics, physics, statistics or related disciplines; a PhD not older than five years (not considering parental leave); experience in integrative modelling of biological systems at the crossover between radiation biology and epidemiology; and working knowledge in higher programming languages, preferably R, Python or MATLAB.
